Just not destined to be a set of place mats, this little gem had to find another way to come into being.

Encapsulated

Begun in a class with Portland quilt maker and teacher Lee Fowler in 2006. Uses a freezer paper applique technique from one of her original designs.

Summertime Stars

from the Fig Tree Quilts pattern by the same name, and using a combination of Amy Butler's "Love" collection, with some Kaffe Fassett, Martha Negley, and both Rowan and Moda solids.
